Her work is very personal. Paloma improvises and allows herself to loose control and to see what happens. Taking a pice of textile and doing something until she finds something she likes.
The human body is always the starting point. She is really fascinated by all the ways you can highlight, distort and transform the natural silhouette of the body or an object.
She builds her garments by hand from a couple of basic elements which she multiplies and attatches to each other in different ways to discover the shape that she wants.
She loves the freedom to create her own fabric while working. For her this is the absolute challenge; all the levels of skills you have to pass before you can even think about starting to improvise.
At the end of all the research, training and experimentation, Paloma likes to end in a dynamic and active creation.
